Hello.

My name is Madelen Holmström and I'm born in March 1992.

Further down this page you'll see both videos of me riding, playing with a foal, my own foal born May 2022, but also pictures from part of my life with horses, but firstly I wanna tell you more about me and I'm hoping this will wake your interest in me.

This page is mainly focused on my breeding, I'm a dog breeder, only for fun and not for income, now i wanna work in first hand and have my dogs as my interested and hobby, but here is a better and easier way to present myself and my experiences.

Right now I live in sweden but I'm very flexible, the only thing I say no to is when it's a place where it's colder than -15 celcius more than a month a year 😄

My story with horses started from birth, my mom has always been around horses and my first memory is when I was maybe 3-4 years, one of our horses had gone out from the paddock so me and my sister (9 years older) went to find her, she was walking around in the woods so we just got up and told her to go home, and she did.

I started at a riding school when I was 5, I dreamed big and wanted the biggest horse

When I was around 9 the owner called and said that my new competiton pony had arrived, we got a truck with 5-8 horses a year, she wanted me to train her to work on the lessons, so I started work with her and had good help in the owner and my mom, both were my trainers and both knew i liked a challenge, 3months later I started to jump this pony, and well the only one getting ower was me while the pony stood there looking at me like I was a fool,

I bet she laughed at me since I didn't learn or give up on her,

she was so smart, in dressage we showed her once and then she was doing it like she was an expert, but in jumping we didn't get anywhere, but something changed, I stopped falling off and none of us got over, I saw it as a win, a while after that we finally got over and after that we started our first competition and she was heaven, she was faster than we could have dreamed about but we had one big problem that we hadn't noticed, she didn't jump oveer wheels, so back to training, we finally made it but I were to long to keep riding her so I just started over with the next pony from anither truck on the same riding school, she started to canter the moment you got your foot in the stirrups..

After that I got to break in another pony there, so thanks to that riding school I learned a lot, the owner let me train the ponies that didn't behave, I did break in a few more ponies and i learned to be responsible early since i was at the stable every day to make sure "my ponies" did okay both health, food and how they were on the lessons.

When I was 14 and had my own horse I still kept training for her in jumping, one time I jumped 90cm bareback on my horse just because I had the wrong girth with me and didn't wanna lend one, so I spent one hour jumping lesson, bareback, it was fun and I learned even more about balance from that.

And somewhere there in time I gave some lessons for beginners on that riding school.

Later we moved and i had at most 5 horses by my own to take care of.
for a while when I had 2 they were stabled in a trotting stable so i helped the trainer there to train his horses and drive them a lot and even broke in 2 of them, I also helped out in the trainer next doos stable, mostly driving the young horses there and helping with the youngsters that came there for the first time.

I have been studying at a horse gymnasium, sadly it was private and the owners "left" when we had one year left so the local gymnasium had to jump in and let us finish with help from them.

But during that time I had practice in one dressage stable and at my hoof/trimmer teacher so I know how to trim, I can put on a shoe, but he also had a lot of horses, he's an event rider, so I have been taking care if his horses during medieval events every summer for around 7 years (pic down below of his PRE stallion)  so the practice at his place gave me more knowledge about trimming and even more riding, mostly out trekking.

From gymnasium I went to a stable in stockholm for some time, mostly mucking out, horses in and out from paddocks, Walker, bandaging, plaiting, preparing for rides and preparing for jumping lessons.

And between everything I've been giving lessons to both friends and others, both on my own horses and on theirs.

After that I went to another showjumping stable with around 60 horses, there it was mostly about taking care of clients, mucking out, in and out of walker, riding some young/green horses, mostly stallions, longing 2year olds, checking the mares and foals, keeping an eye on the stallion with his mares.

Sadly I got hurt there when we were breaking in one of the young ones and that made me quit and take a break from horses.

I started again 2018, me and my mother went to spain and there I started to miss the horses and found a stallion to take care of and ride, he needed a lot of work from the ground and was known to be a bit crazy and dangerous, I took my time with him and loved every moment, he couldn't leave the farm because he was terrified of cars and motorcycles but after just 2 months I started to take him for longer and longer walks by hand, let him see and eat, everything to relax, 2 months later I started to riding him out and the first video of that is down below, we didn't go far but it was a big win.

The same problem we had with the big paddoc, he could only go there by hand and eat grass, but we overcome that too.

When I got back home to sweden I bought a 3year old mare, the only contact she had with people was when she were given food and went in and out from the paddoc (she walked free, following her mother) and now she is 7 years old, anyone can ride her, she has her first foal and she is my dream horse, so sensitive and the type of horse that takes care of her rider, she would never do anything to get you off or "leave you behind", she never bucks or kicks.

So here I'm today, I got a lot of experience and I love to work with the horses, my own horses goes out 24/7 and I wanna find a work where I can spend all my time around horses and horse people, I love working with kids.

My big passion in life is horses, dogs and nature.

I see what needs to be done, I'm hard working, loyal to my work and most of all I can easily go fix a fence like I can go prepare a horse for riding or mucking out.

For me it's not important to be able to bring my horses, In first hand I wanna go there for work, if it works good and we talk long commitment then I'd love if it is possible to bring my mare but not a big "have to".
My little stallion I'm planning to keep going out 24/7 with other stallions until I'm gonna  start with him summer 2024.
